Short version

Greek & Latin Roots Study is a free browser-based app. We do not ask you to sign in, we do not have an account system, and we do not collect personal information.

Local storage on your device

The app saves a few things in your browser's local storage so your preferences and saved configurations persist between visits:

An anonymous ID (a random string) so saved quiz builds stay tied to this device.
Your theme preference (light / dark / system).
Your saved quiz and flashcard configurations.
Your saved worksheet templates.
Your mastery progress on individual roots.

All of this lives only in your browser. Clearing your browser's data deletes it. It never leaves your device.

Analytics

We use Fathom Analytics to understand which features are used and which pages are most visited. Fathom is privacy-focused and does not use cookies or collect personal information. Analytics data is aggregated.
