Model Teaching Apps Privacy Notice

This notice covers every app at apps.modelteaching.com. It’s written for a parent, a teacher, or a school reviewer, not a lawyer, and every claim in it matches how the apps actually work.
The short version
- No accounts. Students never sign up or sign in.
- No cookies. We do not set a single one on this site.
- No advertising. We never show ads or sell anything to your child.
- Nothing a child types leaves their browser. Practice answers stay on the device.
- One button erases everything. Clear your data any time, right on this page.

What the apps are and who they're for
Our apps are free, browser-based practice tools for students in kindergarten through twelfth grade, built to use alongside a teacher’s instruction or with family at home. We also publish one lesson-planning tool built for teachers only, with no student-facing side.
What your browser stores
None of this reaches our servers. It stays in this browser until you clear it, and clearing it takes one click (see Your choices below).

Some apps store a little more of the same kind: progress on individual questions, or a custom word list a teacher typed in, for example. It always follows this same pattern: saved to your device only, never sent anywhere, and included when you use Clear data for all apps below.
What we receive when you visit
Like every website, when your browser connects to ours, we automatically receive your IP address and browser type. We use it only to serve the site, count visits, and stop abuse. Specifically:
- Analyzing how the service functions
- Network communications
- Security and rate limiting
- Legal compliance
Here is how we make sure it is never used for anything else: we show no advertising and use no ad networks, we do not build profiles of visitors, we do not track anyone across other websites, we do not turn this into a user identifier, our content security policy technically blocks connections to any other destination, and we require a written agreement with every company we work with.
Analytics
Fathom Analytics is the only analytics tool we use. It sets no cookies. It reports at the country level, never the city. Any IP address it briefly sees is discarded within 24 hours.
We removed Google Analytics and Vercel Web Analytics on September 8, 2026: Google Analytics needed a two-year tracking cookie to produce useful reports, and Vercel Web Analytics recorded your city and had no way to delete that data.

We count visits with Fathom, a cookieless analytics tool that never learns who you are.
Turning this off stops us from counting this browser’s visits entirely. You can turn it back on any time.
What is sent to our servers
A few specific actions send us information, and only for as long as it takes to complete that action:
- When a teacher generates a worksheet, we receive the settings they chose, plus any title or instructions they typed.
- In our lesson-planning tool, we receive the lesson text a teacher types in.
- When someone sends us feedback, we receive their message.
Each of these is used once and then discarded. We do not store any of it. Teachers and parents: please do not type a student’s name or any other personal information into any of these fields.
Who else receives anything
A handful of companies help us run these apps. Here is everything each one receives:

We require a data-processing agreement with every company that receives anything through our apps. That agreement limits what they can do with it.
Nobody else receives anything. Our content security policy blocks the browser from connecting to any destination beyond our own servers and Fathom, so even if we made a mistake in our code, there is nowhere else for a visitor’s browser to send data.
How long we keep things
This is our complete data-retention schedule. Nothing on it is kept forever.

Children's privacy
Our apps are meant for children, including children under 13. We do not collect personal information from your child. We never ask for a name, an email address, a login, a photo, or a recording, and there is no account to create.
The only information our servers ever receive automatically from any visitor’s browser is described above, in What we receive when you visit. It is technical, it is used only to run and protect the site, and it is never used to identify, contact, or advertise to your child. Because of that, there is nothing here that requires your permission as a parent.
If you would like to erase whatever your child’s device has saved, like a preference or a saved quiz, use the button in Your choices below. If you have any question about your child’s privacy, email us at apond@modelteaching.com.
Schools
We hold no education records. Students have no accounts and no data on our servers, so there is nothing for a school to review, correct, or delete on our systems. Teachers: please do not enter any student information anywhere in these apps.

Do Not Track
We do not track you across other websites, and we do not allow anyone else to, either. There is genuinely nothing here for a Do Not Track signal to switch off. We honor it anyway in our analytics: Fathom is configured to respect your browser’s Do Not Track setting.
Your choices
Clear your data. This removes everything every Model Teaching app has saved in this browser.
This only affects this browser, on this device. Anything saved just for the current tab already clears when you close that tab; this clears everything else too, in every tab.
Turn off analytics. See Analytics above for the on/off switch for this browser.
Use your browser’s own controls. You can clear cookies and site data for apps.modelteaching.com any time from your browser’s settings, or use a private or incognito window so nothing is saved after you close it.
How we announce changes
If we make a material change to this notice, we will update the “last updated” date at the top of this page and describe what changed. Because our apps do not collect email addresses or accounts, we have no way to notify you directly, so please check back if you would like to know what has changed.
