Data and privacy for Math Facts
Math Facts is built to respect your privacy. Here is what happens with data in this app.
What we don't do
- We don't collect any personal information.
- We don't track student performance across sessions. Your practice history goes away when you close the tab.
- We don't send any data to our servers about who you are, what you practice, or how you score. The PDF API only gets the worksheet configuration you click to generate.
- We don't use tracking cookies or third-party analytics that identify you.
What we store on your device
Everything below lives in localStorage or sessionStorage on your browser. Nothing is sent anywhere.
- Saved worksheet templates(for teachers): configuration only. The operation, digit range, problem count, and layout. No student names or scores. Clear them anytime with the "Clear All Templates" button on the Templates page, or the "Clear All Saved Settings" button in Settings.
- Your preferences: theme choice, celebration effects default, and the clear-on-close toggle.
- Anonymous device ID: a random identifier used to group your own data on this device. Never sent anywhere, never connected to your identity.
- Active session: the problems and answers for your current Practice or Flashcards session. Stored in
sessionStorage, which the browser wipes when you close the tab.
True session-only mode
Turn on Clear on close in Settings. Everything gets wiped when you close the browser tab.
