Sample plan — Grade 3, missing side length
The course’s own worked example, filled in end to end: four checks, twenty questions, every answer key, and a re-teach plan for each outcome. Open it to see what the app produces before you build anything.
Every mechanically-checkable answer in this plan was recomputed by the app’s verifier before it shipped — the same check every generated answer key passes.

The first day on something students have not seen before.

When the content is new, the risk is not that your lesson is wrong — it is that some students could never access it in the first place. Twice as long on the before-check buys the one piece of information that can still change today's plan.

Fluency and practice day
A day of repetition on something already taught.

On a practice day the question is speed and accuracy, not whether students understand the idea. Every check here wants a number you can count, and none of them wants a discussion that eats the practice time.

Starts with Response Cards or Electronic Student Response System and Online Quiz — swap either on its own check.
The Strategy Guide says Response Cards “can serve as a good review tool before a graded assessment,” so that is where this template starts. Both it and Online Quiz need cards or devices ready before the lesson, so the template assumes you have time to set up.

When the objective is reasoning rather than recall, a right answer is not the evidence you need. You need to see the path a student took — which an explanation or a demonstration shows you and a multiple-choice item hides.

A lesson taught with materials is worth checking with materials. This lets students show you what they can do with what is in front of them at every stage, including before the lesson, where a demonstration check is normally switched off.

Nothing this plan suggests will ask for a device. Turning technology off removes those checks entirely rather than ranking them lower, so you cannot end up planning a check you have no way to run.

Hearing from six students in a class of thirty tells you about six students. This drops the checks that only reach a handful, and gives each phase a little more time, because thirty answers take longer to read than fifteen.
