Privacy

Phase 1 (today): no accounts, no server-side storage of your work. The standards you pick, the plans you build, and your preferences live in your browser's local storage. Clearing your browser data clears the app's data. Downloading a plan sends it to the app's own server, which makes the file and keeps no copy.

When you write your objective or paste a standard, the app sends what you wrote to Anthropic's Claude API to find the standard your lesson serves. When you generate lesson content, the standard, objective, prerequisites and class-context settings you entered are sent to Anthropic's Claude API, which produces the questions, answer keys and plan text. Anthropic deletes those inputs and outputs within 30 days (longer only if flagged for a safety review) and does not train its models on them. This app has no roster and no place to put student information, and we never ask you for any.

Because the objective, standard and prerequisite boxes are free text, please do not type student names into them.Whatever you write there is sent to Anthropic as part of a request. Describe the skill, not the children: “regrouping with two-digit subtraction” rather than which pupils are struggling with it.

Analytics use one tool: Fathom. It counts page visits without cookies and without tracking individual people, and it never receives what you type into the app. There are no cookies anywhere on this site. Google Analytics 4 and Vercel Web Analytics were both removed from every Model Teaching app on September 8, 2026. You can switch analytics off for your browser from the Model Teaching Apps Privacy Notice, which also carries the full detail on what our hosting and analytics providers receive and how long they keep it.
