Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 2026 · Model Teaching Apps
PEMDAS Practice has no accounts, no logins, and no server-side storage. The sections below cover what happens with your data.
What data we collect
We do not collect any personal information. There are no accounts, no sign-in, and no forms that send data to our servers.
Your saved practice sessions, worksheet configurations, and preferences live in your browser's localStorage, on your own device. We never see this data.
Analytics
We use two analytics tools to understand aggregate usage (for example, how many people visited a page). Neither collects names or personal details, and there are no accounts.
Fathom Analytics: a privacy-first provider that sets no cookies, does not track individuals across sites, and does not sell data. It collects no personal data or IP address, and is GDPR, CCPA, and PECR compliant.
Google Analytics 4: sets one first-party analytics cookie so we can measure pageviews and feature use. Advertising and Google Signals are turned off and IP addresses are anonymized — there are no advertising cookies. It sends aggregate usage data to Google.
Children's privacy
PEMDAS Practice is designed for use by students in grades 3–8, often under teacher or parent supervision. Because we collect no personal information and require no account, there is nothing to disclose under COPPA. Parents and guardians can verify this by checking the browser's localStorage at any time — every key is prefixed with mt_pemdas_.
Cookies
Fathom Analytics sets no cookies. Google Analytics 4 sets one first-party analytics cookie to count visits (there are no advertising cookies). Your theme preference (light/dark/system) is stored in localStorage, not in a cookie.
Third-party links
This app may link to external sites (such as modelteaching.com or apps.modelteaching.com). Those sites have their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of linked sites.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes materially (e.g. if we ever add accounts or server-side data storage), we will update this page and note the change date at the bottom.
