Privacy

Phase 1 (today): no accounts, and no server-side storage of your work. The builds you make and your preferences live in your browser's local storage. Clearing your browser data, or using “Clear all saved data” in Settings, clears the app's data.

When you ask the app to read your idea, suggest ideas, write a prompt or write a rubric, what you entered for that step is sent to Anthropic's Claude API, which writes the result: your idea or the topic you gave for suggestions, the grade and choices you picked, a text title if you named one, any role, audience, format or topic you gave for creative writing, the checklist items you kept or typed, any prompt sentences you wrote yourself, and the names of your rubric's rows and levels. Anthropic does not train its models on what the app sends.

When you download a student sheet or a rubric, the build on your screen, including the printout title and the rubric's wording, is sent to this app's own server, which makes the file and sends it straight back. The app keeps no copy and writes none of your words to its logs, and none of it goes to Anthropic.

Please do not type student names into any box in this app. Whatever you write leaves your browser as part of a request, to Anthropic or to make a download. Describe the writing task, not the children. This app has no roster and no place for student work, and it never asks for either.

Analytics use one tool: Fathom. It counts page visits without cookies and without tracking individual people, and it never receives what you type into the app. There are no cookies anywhere on this site. You can switch analytics off for your browser from the Model Teaching Apps Privacy Notice, which also carries the full detail on what our hosting, analytics and AI providers receive and how long they keep it.

Phase 2 (later): when accounts launch, we'll publish a full privacy policy and terms of service before any of your work leaves your browser for anything beyond these requests.
